Incorporated in 1987 by a group of former executives of American Insurance Agency, we have grown to a group of over 90 agents and staff. Our main office is in the First Insurance Center building located in Honolulu, with branch offices in Wailuku-Maui, Hilo-Hawaii, Kailua Kona-Hawaii, and Lihue-Kauai. Each office is staffed by its own underwriters and support staff to assist our agents and clients directly. Our client base ranges from small to large commercial accounts but with special emphasis on the medium, "main street," type of account. We currently represent most of the insurance carriers and brokerage companies in Hawaii and also write directly with all major mainland carriers for specialty coverage. In 2003, Pyramid Insurance wrote in excess of $52 million dollars of property and casualty premiums, of which commercial insurance premiums accounted for approximately 50% of our business.
